Ford Credit and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services have a long history of being among the first to spring into action and help those in need following any kind of natural disaster imaginable, whether that be a hurricane, tornado, fire, flood, or anything else that can cause serious hardships for customers. We’ve seen this time and time again in the wake of those types of devastating experiences, and now, we’re seeing it again after severe storms and tornadoes impacted parts of Arkansas recently.
Ford Credit and Lincoln Automotive Financial Services have announced that customers in certain impacted areas can take advantage of payment extensions up to 60 days, though it’s worth noting that interest may continue to accrue on those deferred payments, regardless. Those customers must reside within a county eligible for FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program, which currently consists of Greene, Hot Spring, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Sharp and Stone counties in Arkansas.
Customers that are eligible for this payment deferral program can request an extension by visiting www.ford.com/finance, via the Ford Credit app, or by calling 1-800-723-4016, though lease customers must call that number to obtain disaster relief. This is just the latest example of Ford’s efforts to help those impacted by severe weather events, however. Back in January, the automaker and Ford Philanthropy launched a pair of new grants to support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund in the wake of devastating wildfires there, and it also offered payment extensions for impacted customers, too.
This past March, Ford Credit offered payment extensions of up to 60 days for impacted customers in Kentucky and West Virginia that were victims of severe flooding, too. Those areas experienced heavy rainfall that fell over a short period of time, leading to some of the worst flooding either has seen in recent memory.
That special benefit ended in mid-2022.
Perhaps the nicest one left.
The company promises that it's a huge improvement over the existing system.
The same engine already present in the Mustang and Explorer.
A disappointing result for The Blue Oval.
