The wildly popular Ford Maverick consistently dominates its competitive bracket, and that means there’s plenty of examples of the compact pickup out on the road. Odds are most commuters in the U.S. have seen a Maverick on their daily drive, and while the good majority of them seem perfectly capable of behaving traffic laws, there are certainly outliers. An impatient Maverick was caught on dashcam recently, committing not one, but two, “bold” moves while driving in the city.
Hosted on the r/IdiotsInCars community on Reddit, the dashcam video shows a Ford Maverick enter frame on the left side of the cammer almost immediately. While the cammer left a gap to avoid striking the bus in front of them, the Maverick driver clearly thinks that the space is for them, hardly checking to make sure they clear the vehicle behind them before cutting them off.
After turning right onto a street, the driver of the Maverick opens the accelerator, bringing the compact pickup to a speed that’s not terribly safe on such a road. They get stuck at the same stop sign as the cam car they cut off just seconds ago, proving that they didn’t really gain anything.
The driver of the Ford Maverick seems to realize this. Their solution? Skip the line by using the other lane as their personal turn lane. Not only did they drive on the wrong side of a double yellow line, they blew through the stop sign and turned left without a care. Clearly, wherever they had to be was more important than the safety of anyone else out on the streets. And to add another layer to the incident, their license plate reads “CHATGPT.” Perhaps an AI instructed them to drive like it was their first day.
[OC] Ford Maverick cuts into oncoming lane and blows through a stop sign

A couple other Ford pickups were caught on camera pulling impatient moves. The driver of a Ford F-150 obviously went to the same driving school as this Maverick, driving on the wrong side of the street just to skip a long line at a stoplight. Impatience gets you nowhere, like the driver of one Ford Super Duty found out when they tried to cut in front of traffic.

What an entitled asshat. Wonder who he/she/it voted for?
