Ford Maverick XL Wins 2025 Best Fleet Value In America Award

Though it has gotten more expensive since its launch for the 2022 model year, the Ford Maverick remains a solid value in today’s inflated new vehicle market, regardless. For those that operate commercial fleets, the Maverick is particularly enticing given that fact, coupled with its excellent efficiency (resulting in lower fuel costs) and utility, it also has room for passengers and a bed out back for cargo. Thus, it’s no surprise to learn that the Ford Maverick XL, specifically, has won yet another Best Fleet Value in America Award from Vincentric.

The Ford Maverick is a familiar sight on this list, having previously won a Vincentric 2023 Best Fleet Value in America Award and a 2024 Best Fleet Value in America Award, as well as a 2025 Best Value in America Award, while the hybrid model brought home a 2025 Best CPO Value in America Award, too. Now, the Ford Maverick XL continues to add to the compact pickup’s constantly-growing trophy case with a 2025 Best Fleet Value in America Award, due to a variety of factors.

This time around, the base Ford Maverick XL topped the small truck category – outperforming 63 trims from its competitors – by winning 15 of 28 lifestyle cost scenarios, and presenting owners with the lowest fuel, maintenance, and operating costs in its class. Each year, Vincentric comes up with this list after performing a cost of ownership analysis based on how commercial fleets typically use their vehicles, using eight cost factors – depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.

“The Vincentric Best Fleet Value in America Awards are now in their twentieth year of providing valuable insight and guidance to the fleet industry,” said David Wurster, Vincentric President. “With nearly every segment this year being won by a returning winner, our awards can help fleet professionals identify vehicles that have a history of providing great value year after year.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. The maverick XL hybrid is an absolute game changer for light duty work trucks. Or mid-duty with that killer payload. I can’t believe there’s no competition yet.
