Ford Mustang Dark Horse Radiator Kit Works With EcoBoost, GT

Since its debut for the 2024 model year, the all-new S650 generation Ford Mustang has gained a plethora of aftermarket parts and accessories for owners to choose from, coupled with an array of goods from The Blue Oval itself. This has long been the case with the legendary pony car, and in many instances, The Blue Oval has offered owners of EcoBoost and GT models the same sort of upgrades present on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse. That’s once again the case with this new Ford Mustang Dark Horse radiator kit, which was just added to the Ford Performance catalog.

The new Ford Mustang Dark Horse radiator kit is now available in the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-8005-DH, and it retails for $475. In this case, it serves a pretty simple purpose, too – it enables owners of 2024-2025 Ford Mustang GT and EcoBoost models to upgrade their cooling system with the same radiator and fan used in the production Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

The radiator and fan are a direct replacement, meaning that installation should be fairly easy for shadetree mechanics to complete, and won’t require any sort of cutting or modifications. Beefier cooling systems are generally desirable for those that spend time on the track – particularly in warmer climates – especially if one is also installing a power adder like a supercharger, which can generate a lot of head underhood.

As one might imagine, this new Ford Mustang Dark Horse radiator kit is just the latest of many S650 generation pony car upgrades to hit the Ford Performance catalog in recent months. That list also includes things like a front bumper beam and tow hook that allows for the use of a tow hook in EcoBoost and GT models that aren’t equipped with the Performance Pack, as well as a Dark Horse steering wheel kit.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
