Ford has executed its fair share of executive shakeups over the past couple of years, both in its home country of the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, those moves included transitioning Sherry House from vice president of finance to the role of CFO – while former CFO Jim Lawler moved solely to the vice chair position – while Marin Gjaja was named chief strategy officer, Andrew Frick absorbed duties from retiring strategy head David McClelland, Kay Hart moved to GM of Ford Model e, and Daniel Justo took over customer experience. Now, Ford has named a new chief accounting officer (CAO), too.
That person is Kyle Crockett, who is officially taking over as The Blue Oval’s new CAO – succeeding Mark Kosman, who is moving to another role in the financial side of the business. In his new role, Crockett will be responsible for every aspect of the automaker’s accounting function and will have internal control over financial reporting as well. He’ll serve as vice president, accounting, until FoMoCo files its Q2 Form 10-Q, after which he’ll transition into the CAO role full-time, however. In both cases, Crockett will report directly to House.
Crockett has a wealth of experience in accounting, as well as financial reporting, internal controls, process, taxes, and system transformation, having preciously spend over 10 years at General Motors, where he launched process transformation initiatives to drive global standardization, improve quality and efficiency, and enhance insight to drive better decision making. Most recently, Crockett was the vice president, controller, and CAO at Carrier Global Corporation, where he established the global controllership team, implemented a culture of quality, accountability, and collaboration, and helped streamline its business portfolio and simplify that company’s technology footprint.
“I am pleased to welcome Kyle to Ford. The discipline, rigor and systematic approach he will bring to accounting will support us as we continue to progress our business transformation,” said Ford CFO Sherry House.
