Competitive Sales Comparison (USA)
Lincoln Corsair sales were flat at 6,240 deliveries in Q1 2025. The performance places it sixth, or around mid-pack, among 13 entries in the luxury C-crossover segment when ranked by sales volume.
The Lexus NX led as before with a five percent bump in sales to 17,992 units. The Buick Envision (see running Buick Envision sales) placed second with a 17 percent upswing to 15,485 units, while the Acura RDX took third with a 12 percent downturn to 8,922 units. The BMW X1, one of two entries from the Bavarian automaker, placed fourth with a 15 percent uptick for 6,909 sales, while the Volvo XC40 was in fifth with a six percent slip for 6,469 deliveries, and the Corsair (see running Lincoln Corsair sales) placed sixth. The Audi Q3, in seventh, saw sales dip 23 percent to 5,347 units, and the Cadillac XT4 (see running Cadillac XT4 sales), GM’s second entry, took eighth place with a two percent decrease moving 4,775 units. The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class and Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class followed in ninth and tenth, respectively, with the GLA-Class posting a 70 percent jump in sales to 3,825 units, and the GLB-Class with a 50 percent slide for 2,774 deliveries. The BMW 2 followed in 11th place with a 133 percent leap for 1,307 sales. Finally, Alfa Romeo Tonale sales, placing 12th, were flat for 725 deliveries, and the Volvo C40 finished last posting a nine percent increase moving just 315 units.

In terms of segment share, the Corsair maintained an eight percent share. The NX led with a 22 percent segment share, up one percentage point year-over-year, followed by the Envision, which earned a 19 percent share, up three percentage points, and the RDX with an 11 percent share, down two percentage points. The X1 posted a nine percent share, up two percentage points, and the XC40 and Q3 both held an eight percent share, as the Q3 earned a seven percent share. The XT4 maintained a six percent share, while the rest of the field each earned a five percent share or less.
The luxury C-segment crossover segment was flat for 81,085 deliveries in Q1 2025, meaning Lincoln Corsair sales was in line with the segment average.
GM’s two models in the segment, the Buick Envision and Cadillac XT4, together combined for 20,260 deliveries and a 25 percent segment share, placing FoMoCo’s crosstown rival solidly in first place overall ahead of Lexus.

The Ford Authority Take
Lincoln Corsair sales placed sixth, or about mid-pick, among 13 entries in the subcompact luxury crossover space.
However, while the Corsair outsold crosstown rival Cadillac XT4, it remained well behind the Buick Envision, and combined sales of GM’s two models put The General squarely ahead. However, the XT4 is dead after just one generation, in spite of receiving a refresh for the 2024 model year. Here is why GM is discontinuing the Cadillac XT4.
Meanwhile, the first-ever 2025 Acura ADX debuted last fall as an indirect rival to the Corsair, though smaller, and slotting below the Acura RDX, which is the Corsair’s direct rival. Acura’s strategy with the ADX and RDX will be similar to those of BMW and Mercedes-Benz, both of which offer two entries in this space.
The future of the Corsair itself is unclear. Production of the model at the Louisville Assembly plant was expected to end in 2025, but it might not play out this way, since the Corsair’s platform mate – the Ford Escape – will be offered, contrary to expectations, for the 2026 model year, as first reported by Ford Authority just yesterday.
About Lincoln Corsair
The 2025 Lincoln Corsair arrives largely unchanged from the refreshed 2023 Corsair. But it ditches Active Park Assist 2.0 and drops two paint colors, while adding two new colors – Crystal White and Harbor Gray. It also ditches Sandstone interior color but adds Light Smoked Truffle. Additionally, it loses the standard chrome roof rack side rails on Reserve and Grand Touring, and the Black Roof Rack Side Rails on Jet Appearance.

With a heavier refresh akin to the Nautilus, I’m sure it could sell even better! Hope the Corsair is here to stay.
Still , the plan is to discontinue this car. Glad we bought our Corsair in 24. It’s a great car.
If Jim Farley discontinues the Lincoln Corsair, there will be no compact SUV offered by Lincoln. This makes no sense whatsoever. Hard to believe management would do this!
