Select Ford Expedition, Navigator SUVs Recalled Over Brake Fluid Leak

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2022-2024 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs over an issue with the brake lines.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the front brake lines may contact the engine air cleaner outlet pipe and become damaged, possibly resulting in a brake fluid leak and a loss of front brake function.

The hazards: a loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components: front brake lines

Affected vehicles: select 2022-2024 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs built between April 15th, 2021, and November 20th, 2024.

Number of vehicles affected: 273,789

The fix: dealers will inspect the front brake line and replace the brake line or air cleaner outlet pipe, as necessary, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on May 26th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S47.

  1. Why does not Ford come out with new models as Kia, Hundai, Toyota, Genesis , have developed more models of cars and trucks ? It has been since 2019 that even the Ford Flex was discontinued !
