Speeding Ford Ranger Misjudges Turn, Smashes Into Barrier

Vehicle-involved accidents are quite common in today’s world, and in fact, we see them happen on a daily basis – some more severe than others. Given the fact that Ford has sold quite a few vehicles in its century-plus of existence, it’s no surprise that many of those accidents involve Blue Oval models of all sorts. As is typically the case, most of these accidents are what one might classify as avoidable, and that was certainly true of this wild crash involving a Ford Ranger.

Recently posted on Facebook, this particular crash happens when the driver of the Ford Ranger is attempting to turn left, onto a road with quite a few lanes. There’s clearly plenty of room to execute the turn, but it seems as if the driver might be trying to rush through the light for reasons unknown – perhaps it was in the process of turning red, or maybe they’re just in a hurry to get to their destination. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that the Ford Ranger is traveling at a rate of speed that exceeds its cornering limits.

As we watch the Ranger bounce its way into the turn, it just continues to go mostly straight and proceeds to hop the curb before smashing head-on into the barrier running parallel to the road. It’s a hard crash for certain, leaving the poor pickup heavily damaged and very likely totaled. Sadly, the whole thing could have been easily prevented had the driver just taken that turn a bit slower, but now, their Ranger is probably heading to the scrapyard – and we wouldn’t be shocked to learn that the driver themself wound up taking a trip to the hospital, too.

This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen some poor decisions result in wrecked vehicles and injured drivers, as one might imagine. Rather, we’ve seen our fair share of Ford-involved crashes over the years, with some recent ones including a swerving Contour, a stolen Mercury Milan that wrecked in the snow, and an errant crossover smashing into a dealership and destroying a rare Cobra R, to name just a few.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
