Steeda cut its proverbial teeth as a performance parts maker thanks to its efforts with the Fox Body Ford Mustang of the 1979-1993 model years, and has since gone on to churn out goodies for a variety of pony car generations – including the newest, the S650. However, as Ford Authority reported this past year, Steeda recently decided to recommit itself to making new parts for the Fox Body Ford Mustang, as well as the SN95 and S197 generations, and as such, we continue to see new goods surface for those pony cars, too – including this new sway bar kit.
The new Steeda Fox Body Ford Mustang sway bar kit was just added to that company’s catalog, and consists of upgraded front and rear sway bars, as well as front end links. Designed to fit 1979-1993 pony cars, the new kit helps improve handling and cornering performance while reducing body roll. The kit achieves that by providing owners with a rear sway bar that’s between 5-45 percent stiffer than the factory unit (depending on the OE sway bar diameter), as well as a front sway bar that’s 15-100 percent stiffer, coupled with CNC-machined billet steel ends.
Despite the fact that these beefed-up sway bars are significantly stiffer than the OEM pieces, Steeda notes that they won’t sacrifice daily drivability, which makes them an attractive purchase for any Fox Body Ford Mustang owner looking to improve handling performance. The kit features an MSRP of $579.95, and is available to purchase now.
The new Steeda Fox Body Ford Mustang sway bar kit is just the latest of many parts and accessories to his that company’s catalog, however. Recently, that list has included the new Pro-Action adjustable front and rear struts for the Fox Body Ford Mustang, as well as a sway bar kit for the S550 and S650 generation model.
