Those that seek maximum attention and are in the market for a massive, road-hogging, six-wheel drive pickup have plenty of options to choose from these days, as a number of aftermarket companies are more than happy to build such a machine and sell it to the public for big bucks. This includes the realm of the Ford F-150, where more than one company churns out six-wheel drive versions of the popular pickup, albeit, typically ones that cost well over six figures. For the DIY type that wants to save some money and tool around in a Ford F-150 6×6, well, we’ve stumbled across one example that’s already partially completed.
This 2010 Ford F-150 6×6 conversion is up for grabs in Dallas, Texas, on Facebook Marketplace at the moment, with a relatively tiny-by-comparison asking price of $11,500. However, you’re certainly not getting some ultra-nice build from a professional shop here, either. Rather, this basic work truck has 218k miles on the clock, and it looks like it’s been through the proverbial ringer in some regards – in fact, it looks like somebody gave it a hasty spray can repaint at some point.
Then there are the mismatched wheels, reflective tape on the tailgate, and a hood that isn’t shut – it’s unclear if that’s the way it sits now, or if the seller just left it propped open somewhat. The listing contains very little information otherwise, outside of the fact that the Ford F-150 is powered by the 5.4L V8, and it has a black interior. We don’t know who performed the 6×6 conversion, nor whether that extra differential is even actually being driven or if it’s just there for looks. Regardless, it could wind up making for a cool project, at least.
Otherwise, one will be looking at spending big bucks buying something like a six-wheel drive pickup from the likes of Hennessey Performance, such as the Ford F-150 Raptor-based VelociRaptor 6×6, or the VelociRaptoR 6×6, which is based on the V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor R. We’ve also seen some of these conversions pop up for sale at auction, including a 2018 Ford F-550 6×6 that was formerly owned by DJ Marshmello.
