Ford reached an endorsement deal with Eon and MGM back in 2002, which is when it just so happened to own Jaguar and Aston Martin – brands that have been featured in several James Bond movies over the years. With the Thunderbird in the midst of making a comeback, it was the perfect time to offer a limited-edition run of the T-Bird driven by actress Halle Berry in Die Another Day. The result was the Ford Thunderbird James Bond 007 Edition, of which just 700 were built in total – and this example has just 4,700 miles showing on the odometer, too.
This 2003 Ford Thunderbird 007 Edition is one of many that we’ve spotted on the auction block over the years, and for good reason – quite a few people that bought one new opted to simply stash them away with the hopes that they’d one day be able to flip those movie-inspired models for a profit. That hasn’t been the case yet, but this example is certainly one of the lower-mile 007 Editions we’ve seen yet, and it’s also up for auction at Bring a Trailer as we speak, looking good as new.
Like all 700 Ford Thunderbird 007 Edition models built, this one’s finished in Coral on the outside, along with a Performance White removable hardtop with porthole windows, plus a power-operated Midnight Black soft top. There are no flaws noted on that particular surface, nor the original 17-inch chrome-finished Deluxe wheels, which in this case are wrapped with 235/50 Michelin Defender tires.
Inside the cabin, one will find Performance White leather upholstery covering heated power-adjustable seats, coupled with special touches including “007” and “Thunderbird” badging and a numbered plaque. Power for this limited-edition model comes from the naturally-aspirated 3.9L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 280 horsepower and 286 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. It’s just the latest of several 007 Editions we’ve spotted at auction, however – just this year, we’ve come across another with 8k miles, as well as one with 25k miles.
Just a small change for the latest model year.
There's no 2026 Taurus to begin with.
The result of restructuring and consolidation efforts.
It will face some stiff competition in that market.
