2019 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition Up For Auction

The Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition debuted back in the 2019 model year as a way to celebrate the brand’s 80th anniversary. However, FoMoCo underestimated demand for the rather pricey model (its MSRP came in at around $110k at the time), building just 80 total units at first. Once that batch sold out in a mere 48 hours, Ford decided to continue production into the 2020 model year, and ultimately built 230 total units of of the Lincoln Coach Door Edition. Despite its low production total, we see plenty of these special sedans pop up for sale on a regular basis, and that now includes this 2019 model.

This 2019 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer as one of those 80 initial units, and it has a relatively low 31k miles showing on the odometer. It’s finished in Infinite Black Metallic on the outside, covering a car with a wheelbase that’s been stretched six inches, resulting in longer rear-hinged doors and copious amounts of rear passenger space. Power comes from the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which was originally rated to send 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

Inside the cabin, one will find a bevy of luxuries including heated, ventilated, massaging, and 30-way power-adjustable front seats trimmed in Alpine Venetian leather, along with heated, ventilated, massaging, and power-adjustable seats in the rear. Rear seat passengers also get their own climate and audio controls, power sunshades, fold-out tray tables, wireless device charging, and a bottle holder, and the entire cabin is dressed up in Alpine Venetian leather with black piping and patterned inserts, along with an Alcantara headliner and a 19-speaker Revel Ultima sound system.

Of course, this is just one of several Continental Coach Door Edition models that we’ve seen pop up for auction over the years, each attracting its fair share of attention and bids. That list includes a 2019 model with 14k miles on the clock, as well as a 2020 with 13k miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
