2020-2025 Lincoln Aviator Recalled Over Trim Detachment Issues

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2020-2025 Lincoln Aviator models over an issue with detaching trim pieces.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the rear door window bars and C-pillar trim may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the trim to detach from the vehicle.

The hazards: detached trim may cause a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Components: C-pillar appliques and window division bars

Affected vehicles: select 2020-2025 Lincoln Aviator models built at the Chicago Assembly Plant between October 19^th, 2018, and May 30^th, 2025.

Number of vehicles affected: 132,914

The fix: dealers will repair or replace C-pillar appliques and window division bars, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on July 28^th, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S66.
