2023 Ford Bronco Sport Had Pentagram Burnt Into Headliner: Video

Buying any vehicle at a salvage auction obviously comes with a lot of risks, as sellers oftentimes work to conceal the extent of damage that those vehicles have suffered, and generally speaking, it’s common to discover that things are far worse then they look when one brings such a thing home, too. We’ve seen this play out time and time again on YouTube, whether it be a 2017 Ford Expedition with bullet holes and actual human blood on the inside, or a 2020 Ford Explorer ST that was stolen and abused in various ways. Now, YouTuber Matt Ryan of the NYKAuto channel is back with another strange salvage auction score – this Ford Bronco Sport.

Ryan managed to pick up this 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage model from a Copart salvage auction recently for just $11,000, which is a screaming deal by anyone’s standards. However, there is obviously a good reason for that – Copart had the crossover listed with primary damage of “biohazard/chemical,” and there were no keys included with the sale, either. Regardless, it looked to be in great shape on the outside, and the insurance provider paid out a nearly $30k claim to the original owner, so there’s that.

Once the Ford Bronco Sport rolls into Ryan’s shop, he’s able to inspect it for damage himself, and finds a rear bumper that needs to be replaced, along with a busted taillight and a dent in the tailgate. Moving inside, things get much worse – Ryan finds evidence that drugs have been used in the vehicle, along with a busted windshield, a missing rearview mirror and front facing camera/sensors, and something truly strange – a pentagram burned into the headliner, which is a bit, well, demonic, to say the least.

Luckily, the Ford Bronco Sport starts up with no problem, and there are no check engine or warnings lights illuminated, either – save for the ones associated with the aforementioned missing equipment. It doesn’t take too much time or money to get this small crossover back into suitable shape, which is great news for Ryan’s attempt to make a profit on it, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
