The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning is a tech-forward electric pickup – and that extends inside the cabin, too. There are three different audio systems offered, and their availability depends on trim level. Ford Authority outlines all of the sound systems available in the 2025 F-150 Lightning, including how to acquire each one.
Six-Speaker Audio System
The entry level 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning XLT, and its fleet-only counterpart, the F-150 Lightning Pro, each get the standard six-speaker audio system. Though basic, it offers FM radio connectivity, along with SiriusXM 360L, the latter of which is now standard across the board for the first time.
Eight-Speaker B&O Sound System
An upgrade over the standard six-speaker audio system is included as standard equipment in the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning Flash and Lariat trims. This is the eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, which includes a subwoofer, and supports HD Radio for a crisper sound experience.
B&O Sound System Unleashed
Finally, the range-topping 2025 Ford F-150 Lariat features the B&O Sound System Unleashed. This setup ups the ante with 14 total speakers, including a subwoofer, and also offers HD Radio. Given that this is the standard system on the Lariat trim, it does not add any extra cost to the electric pickup’s base price.
The 2025 F-150 Lightning gained a handful of updates compared to its 2024 model year predecessor. The new Dark Elements appearance package is now on the books, offered as a $1,000 option on the Platinum trim. It adds 22-inch black-painted wheels, black Ford ovals and badging, and a black interior. The electric pickup also gets BlueCruise 1.4, which is designed to provide a smoother, more natural hands-free highway driving experience, and maximum DC fast charging current has improved from 450 amps to 500 amps.
Production of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center is now in full swing despite a significant delay. In addition, The Blue Oval did not increase pricing for 2025 F-150 Lightning compared to the 2024 model year. The entry level XLT trim retains its starting price of $62,995, not including destination freight charges.
