2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Gains Standard Front Recovery Hook

The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally broke cover for the 2024 model year, aimed at winning over EV skeptics with a host of rally-ready upgrades. The Mustang Mach-E Rally was designed for the spiciest of on- or off-road adventures, and it brought something new to the table: a built-in front recovery hook. That handy feature is no longer exclusive, though, as its availability has expanded across the lineup.

All 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E trims – including Select, Premium, and GT – now include the front recovery hook right from the factory. Ford notes that the hook itself is stored under the load floor. Hopefully, it’s never needed, but it’s easy enough to use. The threaded recovery hook can be fastened to the attachment point affixed to the front of the Mustang Mach-E, which is covered by a removable trim piece in the front bumper cover.

In addition to the greater availability of the front recovery hook, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E gained a bunch of new features. This includes a a smaller frunk to make way for an improved heat pump, but interestingly, the 2025 Mustang Mach-E now has more storage in certain areas than the 2024 model it replaced. It will also be the first to get the new BlueCruise 1.5 update when it is released, making it one of the most tech-forward vehicles in The Blue Oval’s lineup.

However, other features like the standard windshield wiper deicer are a thing of the past, as are three paint colors – although the latter was replaced with three brand-new hues. Ventilated front seats are available for the first time, along with the sinister Sport Appearance Package on certain trims.

Production of the 2025 Mustang Mach-E, which occurs at the Cuautitlan Assembly plant in Mexico, began on January 6th, 2025. Because it is built outside of the U.S., the electric crossover is subject to tariffs, meaning its base price has increased to $37,995, not including destination freight charges. For comparison, the entry level Select trim was priced at $36,495 upon launch.
