The 2026 Ford Super Duty is slated to receive some notable changes to its lineup, like the loss of standard 4X4 on certain trims and the addition of standard tire pressure monitoring across the board. Another update ensures that Super Duty owners have a reliable way to jump start their heavy duty pickup in the event of a dead battery by way of an optional add-on that’s been added to the order books.
The 2026 Ford Super Duty gains the new GB70 Battery Jump Start System, which is produced by NOCO, and it even includes its own case. The upgrade is offered on all Ford Super Duty trims and configurations, including all F-250, F-350, and F-450 models. It’s a dealer-installed option, too, which means that the jump starter itself is shipped separately from the pickup and inserted once it’s delivered to the selling dealer.
While Ford itself has not revealed pricing for the optional jump start box, NOCO does sell it as a standalone tool on its website, where it’s priced at $199.95. The product description indicates that the jump starter is capable of delivering 2,000 amps and can jump a dead battery “in seconds.” It’s designed for gasoline engines up to 8.0L or diesel engines up to 6.0L, and is water resistant and encased in a rubberized covering. It’s also spark-proof, featuring a failsafe system to protect the jump starter itself and the vehicle in cases of reversed polarity.
As previously stated, another major change headed for the 2026 Ford Super Duty concerns the availability of standard 4WD. Super Duty XLT and Lariat trims are now equipped with standard RWD, while 4WD will be an optional extra. There’s also minor updates headed for its package lineup, such as the expanded availability of the STX Appearance Package and Tremor Off-Road Package, which is a late-availability option for certain trim levels.
As previously reported by Ford Authority, three Blue Oval plants are expected to produce the 2026 Ford Super Duty, including the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada.
