2026 Ford Super Duty Gains Standard Tire Pressure Monitoring

The 2026 Ford Super Duty lineup is in for some key updates. Two trims are dropping standard four-wheel-drive (4WD) in favor of standard rear-wheel-drive (RWD), an about-face from The Blue Oval’s  mission to simplify its internal combustion engine offerings. Ford Authority has learned of another update headed for the Super Duty: the expanded availability of standard tire pressure monitoring, helping drivers keep an eye on their heavy duty pickup’s tire health without setting foot outside the cab.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is now standard on all 2026 Ford Super Duty trims and configurations. That includes XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Platinum Plus trims across the F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty lines, regardless of whether they’re equipped with single rear wheels (SRW) or dual rear wheels (DRW). In other words, the TPMS does not add any extra cost to the heavy duty pickup’s overall price.

By comparison, for the 2025 model year, the TPMS was standard only on the F-350 Super Duty SRW and DRW. It was not standard on any other trim or configuration. The expanded availability ensures that all 2026 Ford Super Duty models have TPMS capabilities right out of the gate.

As previously stated, another major change headed for the 2026 Ford Super Duty concerns the availability of standard 4WD. Super Duty XLT and Lariat trims are now equipped with standard RWD, while 4WD will be an optional extra.

Other changes headed for the 2026 Ford Super Duty include the deletion of two exterior colors, which will be replaced by three new ones: Argon Blue Metallic, Marsh Gray, and Iconic Silver Metallic, the latter of which is being reintroduced as a fleet-only hue. There’s also minor updates headed for its package lineup, such as the expanded availability of the STX Appearance Package and Tremor Off-Road Package, which is a late-availability option for certain trim levels.

As previously reported by Ford Authoritythree Blue Oval plants are expected to produce the 2026 Ford Super Duty, including the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada.

  1. Well I should hope so for as much as a Super Duty costs! Not as if TPMS hasn’t been standard on most vehicles for the last 20 years.

    1. Tpms has been on the super duty line up since the Feds made it mandatory, years ago. Tire pressure monitoring from, Inside the cab, wasn’t standard on all the trim packages, till this model year. You can actually see the psi of the tires on the garage cluster display
