2026 Ford Super Duty Regains Factory SecuriCode Keyless Entry Keypad

Ford’s SecuriCode keypad offers convenient vehicle access, eliminating the need to dig through bags or pockets for a key fob. While once a factory-installed feature on several models, it recently became a dealer-installed option (DIO) on many vehicles, although it remains factory-installed on models like the Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford Explorer. The Ford Super Duty lost its factory SecuriCode keypad for the 2025 model year, but now, it’s back for the 2026 Ford Super Duty, at least for certain trim levels.

Sources familiar with the matter told Ford Authority that the 2026 Ford Super Duty regains its factory-installed status. The keypad is offered as a standalone option on most trims, including XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. The feature is also bundled into the XLT Premium Package, which is an optional extra offered on the XLT that includes equipment like LED box lighting, LED fog lamps, automatic high beam headlamps, rear parking sensors, and more.

However, the SecuriCode keypad still offered as a DIO on the 2026 Ford Super Duty XL, which is the only trim in the lineup that does not offer the feature as a factory-installed option. A video documenting the installation of the SecuriCode keypad on the 2025 Super Duty proves that while it’s not overly complicated, unless one is confident in their skills as a mechanic, it’s best left up to a dealership technician for proper installation.

In other 2026 Ford Super Duty news, buyers of the XLT and Lariat trims no longer have access to standard four-wheel-drive (4WD), although 4X4 is still offered as an optional upgrade; rear-wheel-drive (RWD) is now standard on these trims. More minor updates include the addition of a standard tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) across the board, along with an optional battery jump-start pack.

The 2026 Ford Super Duty is expected to soon enter production at three Blue Oval plants, including the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada.

  1. Correcting a stupid mistake that had been a distinct selling point on all my previous trucks.
