Additional 2026 Ford Mustang Details Revealed

It seems like just yesterday that the seventh-generation Ford Mustang was unveiled. Since then, the model has remained largely unchanged, but the 2026 Ford Mustang introduces a few key updates worth noting – and The Blue Oval itself has revealed a few more details regarding the forthcoming pony car.

The updates inbound for the 2026 Ford Mustang pertain to its aesthetics. This includes the introduction of two new colors, one of which is brand new, and the other is a resurrected hue from Mustangs past. Specifically, Adriatic Blue Metallic will be an all-new addition to the 2026 Mustang palette, inspired by the color Teal found on the third-gen Mustang. And, as Ford Authority previously reported, orange is finally back on the menu for the pony car, although at the time we didn’t have a name for the striking hue. The Blue Oval dubbed the color Orange Fury Metallic Tricoat, which returns to the Mustang for the first time since 2019. Both Orange Fury and Adriatic Blue will be offered on EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse trims.

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Ford Mustang is getting a flash of color in the form of optional seatbelts. Those seatbelts will be offered in Orange, Prime Blue, and Black with a red stripe, decorating the pony car’s interior like a sash. Ford hasn’t revealed availability for these colored seat belts yet.

2026 Ford Mustang FX Package Recaro seats.

The 2026 Ford Mustang serves up retro vibes thanks to the all-new FX Package. This bundle throws it back to the Fox Body Mustang, delivering 1980s-inspired looks by way of its unique 19-inch wheels with an exclusive wordmark emblazoned on the center cap, along with Oxford White accents sprinkled throughout the exterior. Certain exterior badges are colored white, while inside, the Mustang gets plaid seating surfaces, mimicking the seat inserts of the same color found in the Fox Body Mustang.

The FX Package is solely available on GT Premium and can be paired with either transmission or body style, with the Performance Package as another option for buyers. 2026 Ford Mustang order banks open in late June. Before then, we might also learn about what else the automaker is introducing, like the Shelby GT500 – and find out what the deal is with a mysterious convertible prototype spotted out and about with covered badges.

  1. All for the low price of 60k. Ford is smoking crak with these prices.

  2. I took my wife’s 2020 Mustang in for an oil change yesterday. Her can is Velocity Blue and does NOT have black wheels. It received lots of praise for its looks. Waiting for the black trend (“murdered” look) to die.

Mustang prices are out of reach for most people, sales are down, and competitors are few… this should be an omen for nostalgic Bronco fans. Eventually (if not already), Bronco sales will decline… leaving Farley with just a truck brand and Explorer interceptors.
