Artificial intelligence (AI) is all the rage these days, and that technology continues to improve over time, too. Companies are beginning to harness the power of AI in numerous ways, and that includes the automotive sector, where it’s helping to speed up the development and assembly processes, improve quality on production lines, and do all sorts of things at speeds much faster than humans could dream of. Now, Ford dealers are set to benefit from AI as well, thanks to a new partnership with a company called Marchex.
Marchex – a company that drives revenue acceleration and operational improvements through AI and conversational intelligence – has announced that it’s expanding its partnership with FordDirect, a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and its franchised dealers that aims to deliver best-in-class digital marketing and advertising solutions by harnessing the power of data, analytics, and technology. Ford dealers are already using Marchex Spotlight, but will now gain access to Marchex Exchange for Sales and Service as part of this expansion.
Marchex Engage for Sales and Service leverages advanced AI to deliver actionable insights on customer interactions so Ford dealers can maximize their opportunities. Engage does this by automatically categorizing customer calls based on intent, after which it provides real-time alerts on missed sales and service opportunities. Additionally, the tech provides dealers with insights from every service call that can help them increase their repair order appointments, deliver better service experiences, and grow service revenue, all in an incredibly efficient manner.
“FordDirect is proud to expand our partnership with Marchex to bring their AI-powered Engage for Automotive into our nationwide network of Ford dealerships and Lincoln retailers,” said Dean Stoneley, CEO FordDirect. “This partnership gives our dealers and retailers unmatched insights into customer interactions, helping us to improve performance, spot trends, and drive customer and dealer satisfaction.”
