Ford F-150 Driver Almost Causes Head On Collison: Video

It almost seems like parking lots can be just as hazardous as high-speed freeways. Drivers paying more attention to open parking spots than the actual road they’re driving on can be a roadblock, creating an obstacle even at low speeds. That’s precisely what led to a head-on confrontation between the cammer and a Ford F-150, resulting in a massive jump-scare for all drivers involved.

Video still of the Ford F-150 cutting in front of the cammer on their way out of oncoming traffic. It's not clear what caused them to act like this.

The cammer posted the footage from their dashcam on r/IdiotsInCars, a popular community on Reddit for sharing, well, idiots in cars. The video shows the cammer backing out of a parking space in front of a store as a black Ford F-150 appears, turning the corner further down the road, going wide to avoid striking a pedestrian with a shopping cart. Unfortunately, that F-150 doesn’t appear to understand the concept of “stay in your lane” and just continues to drive into oncoming traffic.

The cammer notices. The driver of the Ford F-150 does not. The cam car pulls their vehicle to a quick halt, expecting the F-150 to do the same – or to at least get out of their direct lane – but it just keeps getting closer and closer. Finally, mere feet from the bumper of the dashcam car, the driver of the F-150 finally appears to realize what they’ve done and yanks the wheel to their left, causing the suspension to buck from the abrupt maneuver.

When they’re trying to vacate the cammer’s lane, the Ford F-150 driver still cuts it a little too close for comfort, but thankfully, both drivers escape unscathed. Just goes to show you – always mind yourself in a parking lot, because it’s often other drivers not paying attention who will get you in trouble.

The driver of a Ford Fiesta in the UK pulled a similar stunt on the road. They chose the absolute worst place to try and pass a biker, almost slamming into a vehicle going the other direction.
