One of the biggest benefits of the 2025 Ford Maverick is that its infotainment system is powered by Sync 4, something that pre-refresh models don’t offer. A few aftermarket companies have offered remedies to the situation, including a complete conversion kit that not only upgrades the software, but the screen it’s shown on. Panda Motorworks is stepping up with its own addition to the Sync 4 conversion pool, offering a plug-and-play solution for Maverick Lariat owners who want the latest in modern infotainment tech right at their fingertips.
The kit, which is offered on Panda Motorworks’ website, includes a pre-programmed eight-inch Sync 4 Navigation API management (APIM) and a custom plug-and-play wiring harness. It requires no splicing, cutting, pin swapping, or coding, making it an easy solution for upgrading the pre-refresh Maverick to Sync 4. It includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, bringing these handy connectivity upgrades the Ford Maverick Lariat with the latest tech backing it up.
The eight-inch option is priced at $649.95. Meanwhile, there’s an upgrade offered in the form of a 12-inch screen, which is pre-programmed for compatibility with the Ford Maverick, priced at $1,149.95. Note that the 12-inch screen was never offered in the Maverick from the factory, and the product photo appears to be the standard screen found in the Ford Transit.
The manufacturer states that it’s built with genuine OEM Ford parts, and is fully assembled in the U.S. Interestingly, the product listing states that the kit is offered on every Maverick through the 2025, which already packs Sync 4 as standard – we assume they meant the 2022 through 2024 model year pickup, which is fitted with Sync 3, not Sync 4.
Since the 2025 Ford Maverick does features Sync 4, it gets one important upgrade that flew under the radar. Native voice recognition is standard equipment, making hands-free functionality that much more intuitive. That Sync 4 system for the 2025 Ford Maverick is controlled via the pickup’s new 13.2-inch infotainment screen, which is standard equipment, replacing the outgoing eight-inch display.
