The “herd mentality” is real out on the roads. Inattentive motorists will see one driver doing something questionable and mindlessly follow the crowd, so it’s always good to be aware. A recent viral dashcam video shows a whole string of cars following one idiot through an intersection – including one clueless Ford Super Duty.
The video is a classic case of “monkey see, monkey do.” The footage, posted on Reddit to the ever-popular r/Roadcam community, shows a couple semi trucks pulling up to a light at an intersection in Texas. To the right of them (from the cammer’s perspective), a line of cars pull up into a turn lane. The Jeep in the lead doesn’t display a blinker to indicate that they’re turning, and while that’s not uncommon, it’s subtle foreshadowing of what’s to come.
The Jeep crosses a double yellow, obviously not wanting to get themselves stuck behind the two semis. And they keep going, blowing through the intersection. To the cammer’s shock, they continue straight for them, carving a nonexistent lane out of nowhere just to avoid the ambling tractor-trailers. The second vehicle in line, the Ford Super Duty, does the same, drifting well into the cammer’s lane and almost hitting them.
They’re followed by a small blue sedan, and before an Infiniti SUV hits them, the cammer finally moves out of the way, obviously seeing what’s coming. The final vehicle in line is a Chevy crossover as all five of them ignore traffic laws just to save a few seconds on the road.

The cammer was lucky despite their latent reaction time, but it just goes to show you that you should be aware of everything out on the roads – particularly if other motorists think they can skip the line to get out from behind a slow-moving semi.
At least the white Ford Super Duty pictured here is more or less unidentifiable from the masses, unlike another Super Duty that pulled a boldly stupid move with its company logos plastered all over the windows. A fox body Ford Mustang got fed up with a semi much like the herd in this video, but pulled themselves over to avoid a worse punishment for being stupid.
