Ford Tractors Join Farming Simulator 25 For First Time

More than a few Blue Oval models have appeared in video games over the years, and that list continues to grow. We’ve seen everything from vintage to modern to even concept versions of Ford models show up in digital form time and time again, but there is one strange omission that has been noticed by some as of late. That is the fact that Ford tractors weren’t previously part of Farming Simulator 25, which makes little sense given the fact that they’ve existed since the early 1900s, and remain hugely popular. Now, however, that oversight has been corrected.

That’s because Giants Software – makers of Farming Simulator 25 – just announced that it’s releasing a new Plains & Prairies Pack for PC and consoles, which adds 20 new vehicles and implements – including Ford tractors. Those models consist of the Ford 976 and 1156 Versatile, which were built from 1988-1993. Other notable additions include tractors from manufacturers including Brandt, Fendt, International, Salford, Väderstad, and Versatile, to name just a few.

In addition to these new vehicles, Farming Simulator 25 is gaining a few other refinements, such as animated, functional covers for trailers, sprayers that support fertilizer distribution, plus functional lift axles to enhance control and efficiency – which is especially true of those operating the GEA STR 447, the largest manure tanker gamers can snag in the series. Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and now includes the Plains & Prairies Pack.

These Ford tractors join a host of other Blue Oval models featured in recent video games, which include the first-generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 as an in-game item in Fortnite, as well as Rocket League – which features the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Shelby GT350R, the Ford Bronco Raptor, and the Ford F-150 Rocket League Edition, a virtual version of the pickup for the popular multiplayer video game, which wound up inspiring a real-life example.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
