New Ford Bronco Concepts Make Case For Brighter Interiors

Last week, Ford and the fashion brand Alice + Olivia debuted the latest in a long line of recent Blue Oval apparel collaborations in the form of a new 10-piece collection centered around the Ford Bronco, specifically. Aside from featuring the Bronco logo on a couple of pieces, others have a variety of patches sewn on that pay homage to the legendary SUV, while others feature images of it or even gradient stripes, which resemble the Free Wheeling Package. To help promote the new line, we’re also being treated to a couple of Ford Bronco concepts that have some rather bright interiors that may appeal to consumers if they wind up making it to production.

These two new Ford Bronco Sasquatch SUVs are designed, in general, with bright finishes and elevated materials, with colorful patterns adorning the exteriors. The first is dubbed the Storm Floral Edition, a direct nod to its floral print that covers the exterior. Inside, this concept takes inspiration from seagrass fabric – something that A+O uses in its collections – coupled with light wood dashboard paneling and gold handles, knobs, and badging.

The second Ford Bronco concept in this collection is known as the Denim Chevron Edition, which – as the name might suggest – stems partly from its denim-inspired chevron exterior print. That look is accented by gold-painted hardware as well, and inside, one will find special waterproof marine-grade vinyl upholstery that’s designed to look like denim, coupled with camel leather. Overall, it’s a much lighter look than what’s available in the current Bronco lineup, and would certainly appeal to some customers, we imagine.

While some automakers offer similar looks inside the cabin, there aren’t a ton of Blue Oval models that do the same, currently. We saw something similar emerge with the Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept a few years ago, however, which featured crème suede and whiskey leather, along with woven textile inserts for the seats that mimic Shinola’s brand stripe, and woven metal mesh in the instrument panel and second-row console.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
