The all-new Ford Digital Experience software made its official debut back in January, and since then, has made its way into a variety of refreshed and redesigned models. The automaker handled much of the development of this new software in conjunction with Google, and it’s centered around personalizing the experience for individual users, as well as adding more integrated apps and connected features. Now, the Ford Digital Experience has gained yet another new app, this time, one aimed at business users on the go.
That app is Zoom Meeting, which is now available for the Ford Digital Experience, enabling users to boost their mobile productivity. Zoom is commonly used by quite a few companies to host virtual meetings, but can also be utilized as a way to catch up with friends and family, collaborate with school groups, or in various other ways. In this case, Ford worked directly with Zoom to provide a more immersive experience versus what smartphone projection can do.
When parked, customers can view the Zoom Meeting app on the center display, including upcoming meetings, participants’ video, or shared content. When on the go, customers can transfer live meetings between devices with one tap when entering the vehicle, and can also join meetings with audio access while driving. The Zoom app for the Ford Digital Experience is available to download now, though owners will also need to have a Connectivity plan activated to use it.
In just a few short months, the Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience software has gained quite a few new apps and features – a list that includes the Road.Travel app, which uses advanced location-based technology to play audio stories as users drive past certain points of interest along pre-planned trips, the WebEx app, a retro gaming app, the Stingray karaoke app, and a SiriusXM sports widget that keeps the score of a game visible on the vehicle’s screen,

How about Ford actually worrying about making a reliable vehicle before they bother with zoom meetings. And people are already inattentive when they are driving! Let’s just make it worse!
