Ford Performance and Haupt Racing Team (HRT) kicked off the 2025 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) season with a brand new partnership, delivering a full fleet of Ford Mustang GT3 racers to European courses. Now, HRT has announced that it’s bringing string Mustang GT3 entries to the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in just a few weeks.
Several Ford Mustang GT3 race cars will take on the famous ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, which is scheduled for June 19th through 22nd, 2025. Six drivers from Ford Performance, along with talented racers from all over the world, will take up the reins of three Dark Horse-based race cars for the event, including two former Nürburgring champions.
The No. 64 Ford Mustang GT3 will be shared between drivers Arjun Maini from India, Dennis Olsen from Norway, along with German drivers Jusuf Owega and Frank Stippler. Stippler added a third Nürburgring trophy to his case during last year’s 24-hour haul.
The No. 65 Mustang GT3, meanwhile, will be shared between German drivers David Schumacher, Dennis Fetzer, and Salman Owega. Jusef Owega, Salman’s brother, will also drive the No. 65 Mustang, splitting his time between that race car and the aforementioned No. 64 machine. Finally, HRT’s third entry, the No. 63 Mustang, will be driven by Nürburgring winner Dirk Müller, Patrick Assenheimer, Vincent Kolb and Hubert Haupt, all hailing from Germany.
“First of all, we are proud and grateful to have found an exceptionally motivated partner in Ford,” said Ulrich Fritz, CEO of HRT. “Thanks to our comprehensive racing program, we can collect as much data and mileage as possible. This will help us understand the Ford Mustang GT3 in all its facets. The impressive line-up is also a sign of confidence from Ford and our drivers in HRT’s ability to make this inaugural season a success. We are pleased with our progress so far and optimistic that we can achieve some good results in our first year together.”
HRT Ford Performance has already delivered results, earning its first DTM championship point at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in May.
