Don’t believe everything you read. Even if it’s presented at the top of the Google search page, presented like actual information. AI generated content has wreaked havoc on search engines, tricking unsuspecting users – and AI assistants themselves – into believing things that aren’t even remotely close to true. Unfortunately, anyone who searches for 2026 Crown Victoria could find themselves staring down fake news regarding a planned revival of the sedan. Spoiler alert: it’s all made up.
Google’s AI overview says, right at the top of the page, that the 2026 Ford Crown Victoria is a “rumored revival of the classic Ford sedan, blending its iconic design with modern features and technology.” It chose an AI-generated picture of a modernized Crown Victoria decked out in full police livery, complete with lights, attempting to lend some credibility to its absolutely fake report.
The overview goes onto explain what’s supposedly in the works for the 2026 Ford Crown Victoria. It says that it will feature a “bold” squared-off design, modernizing the old sedan’s looks. Sleek LED headlights are also supposedly on deck for the nonexistent model, along with “stylish alloy wheels” (whatever that means) and “aerodynamic sculpting,” which is, of course, the goal of every automotive designer.
Under the hood, the AI-generated 2026 Ford Crown Victoria is said to be fitted with the naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8, producing 450 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. That puts it in league with its real-life cousin, the Ford Mustang, which fits the AI’s assumption that it will be marketed to muscle car fans, traditional sedan enthusiasts, and, bizarrely, “luxury car buyers.” Sure, the 2026 Ford Crown Victoria would be a nice vehicle, but luxury? That’s going a little far.
Don’t get your hopes up, no matter what Google’s AI overview will have you believe. There’s no such thing as the 2026 Ford Crown Victoria. The last Crown Vic rolled off the assembly line over a decade ago and never looked back. Moreover, Ford has no interest in producing sedans as it continues its (slow) pivot toward an EV-heavy lineup anchored in the crossover segment.
In short, if Google says something about a new Ford model, it’s best to double check to make sure it’s not an AI hallucination. Sorry to say it, but the 2025 Ford Ranchero, the 2026 Ford Escort, the 2026 Ford Focus RS, and 2026 Ford Fusion all fall under that category, too.

OMG. Anyone that knows anything, the en/fn platform is gone (aling with the b&a that put them together at the end). Same one (frame structure) for the mn12 ( old thunderbird/cougar and mark 8 varient). Anyone that falls for that probablly still thinks the 428 side oiler fe engine with a 100 mpg carb is coming back too!
Oh Bill.
