Ford Maverick Pickup Sets All-Time Sales Record During Q2 2025

The Ford Maverick debuted for the 2022 model year, marking the return of a compact pickup to The Blue Oval’s lineup following years of absence. Turns out, consumers were clamoring for such a thing, as the Maverick debuted to tremendous demand that overwhelmed Ford’s ability to build the new hauler, meaning that it was difficult to find on dealer lots for some time – not to mention, at sticker price. Not much has changed in the years since, as the Ford Maverick just recorded a new all-time personal sales record in Q2 2025, in fact.

According to FoMoCo’s Q2 2025 sales report, The Blue Oval sold a grand total of 48,041 Ford Maverick pickups in the last quarter, which represents a significant 26.25 percent increase – outpacing the automaker’s overall 14.2 percent gain in the same time period by a large margin. At the same time, the Ford Maverick also retained its title as the best-selling hybrid pickup in America in Q2. Of the Maverick’s Q2 sales total, nearly 60 percent came from buyers who were new to the brand, too.

The Ford Maverick has a lot of momentum at the moment given the fact that it’s coming off its very first mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year. That action resulted in a variety of updates for the compact pickup, including the addition of the street performance-focused Lobo, as well as the Tremor becoming its own trim level. Mechanically speaking, the 2025 Maverick Hybrid also gained an all-wheel drive variant for the first time, while the electrified powertrain once again became the standard choice in that regard. As for the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost, it’s now only available with all-wheel drive, which is also true of the Lariat.

Otherwise, the 2025 Ford Maverick ushers in some updated exterior styling – particularly up front, with a new fascia – along with new wheel options and exterior color choices. Inside the cabin, the entire Maverick lineup gained a standard 13.2-inch infotainment screen, as well as a standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Hopefully this will be added to Louisville instead of an EV that won’t break 50k units a year.

  2. I would say that alot of the sales momentum for the Ford Maverick was driven by the fear of the upcoming tariffs that are going to be placed on this model. That being said,I own a 2024 Maverick, and I absolutely love it.

  3. The economy has seen an enormous improvement this year, that’s for sure!

    1. 2.4% current inflation rate 2025
      2.9% inflation rate 2024
1.5% economic growth estimated for 2025
      2.8% economic growth 2024
Economic growth has been reduced by 46% and inflation has been reduced by 17%. Killing the economy is a novel way to bring down inflation. Not sure where how the feds are measuring the 17% reduction in inflation? Our grocery bills are still way high.

  4. Same here, Terry. Bought a new 24 Maverick Tremor in Terrain color (now called Desert Sand). The truck has been very good over 24,000 miles.

My one complaint would be Ford’s inability to hide some of the cheapness and cost-cutting, but the truck does well otherwise.
