Ford Model T Driver Busted With Cocaine, THC, Meth in System

Cars have long been used as methods to transport all sorts of illegal items, including booze, drugs, and various other things. We’ve seen this time and time again with Ford vehicles, which are often used to move things like drugs in large quantities – though if and when the drivers are caught, they face some seriously lengthy prison sentences for their crimes. On the flip side, there are also those that choose to drive vehicles on public roads while impaired, which often leads to tragic consequences. Luckily, that wasn’t the case with a Ford Model T driver who was recently busted with a laundry list of drugs in their system.

This particular incident took place in the Castle Hill area of Australia recently, and began when officers with the Hills Highway Patrol spotted a 1923 Ford Model T “hot rod” that was “accelerating aggressively” on Old Northern Road. Police clocked the vintage machine traveling at speeds of 83 kilometers per hour (around 52 mph) in a 60 km/h (37 mph) zone, after which they proceeded to initiate a traffic stop.

Upon pulling over the Model T, officers executed a roadside breath test on the 24-year-old male driver, but that result came back negative. However, that wasn’t the case with a resulting drug test – rather, it revealed that the driver had both cocaine and cannabis in their system. Making matters worse, officers also took an oral fluid sample that later confirmed not only the presence of THC and cocaine, but also, methylamphetamine, to boot.

As one might imagine, the Ford Model T driver is now facing some serious repercussions for his actions – aside from being due to appear in court to answer for his crimes, the driver has also been issued a 24-hour prohibition notice and a defect notice for the vehicle, which has nonfunctional brake lights and indicators. Since it’s been modified beyond factory specifications, police deemed it unroadworthy, to boot.

  1. Honestly, if the Model T hadn’t been “modified beyond factory specifications,” it wouldn’t be safe to drive on modern roads.

  2. Since the picture is fake, can we assume the story is fake also?
