Ford Mustang GTD Now Available in Fortnite And Rocket League

Deliveries of the Ford Mustang GTD – the most track-capable, road-going pony car that has existed to date – are underway, but as most are well aware by now, only a very few lucky and wealthy folks will get the chance to own one – let alone drive it. With a price tag that starts north of $300k and an approval process required for purchase, the Ford Mustang GTD figures to remain little more than a pipe dream and a poster car of sorts for most of us. On the bright side, those that are into video games now have the chance to get their hands on a virtual copy of the GTD, anyway.

That’s because the Ford Mustang GTD is now available via the in-game stores in both Fortnite and Rocket League, and it’s a pretty interesting offering, to boot. In Fortnite, the Ford Mustang GTD can be purchased for 2,800 V-Bucks and features a custom “T-Pain” themed livery (paying homage to the singer himself), as well as two-tone wheels. The same exact combination is also available in Rocket League, making the GTD the very latest in a long line of Blue Oval models that have been featured in that game in recent years.

That list also includes the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R that were added in 2021, after which the Ford Bronco Raptor joined them a year later. Ford and Rocket League teamed up to add a very special version of the then-new 2021 Ford F-150 to the mix as well, and it even inspired a full-scale, real-deal replica.

As far as Fortnite goes, Blue Oval fans have their fair share of models to choose from in that mega-popular game as well – a list that also includes the Bronco Raptor, as well as the first-generation Mustang Shelby GT500, to name just a couple.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
