Ford Motor Company has filed a patent for a refreshed Ford F-150 Raptor diecast model, Ford Authority has learned.
The patent was filed on September 15th, 2023, published on July 1st, 2025, and assigned serial number 1081468.
The Ford Authority Take
As Ford Authority previously reported, The Blue Oval recently published a patent for a refreshed Ford F-150 diecast model, which features styling based on the 2024 and up version of the popular pickup. That diecast concept comes after the refreshed 2024 F-150 debuted back in September 2023, which is precisely the same time that a revised Ford F-150 Raptor was unveiled, too. Now, it seems as if we may soon be able to purchase an official Ford F-150 Raptor diecast model as well, given the presence of this particular patent filing, which was just published after it was originally filed in September 2023.
The 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor debuted bearing a host of updates, including some mild exterior styling changes, along with a new accessory-capable modular front bumper, standard forged tow hooks, Shelter Green as a new exterior color choice, and new Fox dual live-valve shocks with position-sensitive compression control and continuously variable rebound controls, to name just a few.
We’ve seen a variety of Blue Oval models follow precisely that same path in the recent past, including the off-road-focused, rally-inspired Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally. In fact, Ford filed a patent for a Mach-E Rally diecast just this past January, and now, the automaker has done precisely the same thing with the latest version of the Ford F-150 Raptor. Whether or not that leads to an actual diecast model remains to be seen, but it’s an indication that such a thing may happen at some point.
“Submitting patent applications is a normal part of any strong business as the process protects new ideas and helps us build a robust portfolio of intellectual property,” Ford said in a statement. “The ideas described within a patent application should not be viewed as an indication of our business or product plans. No matter what the patent application outlines, we will always put the customer first in the decision-making behind the development and marketing of new products and services.”
