Ecotorq, also known as the Cargo Engine, is a series of heavy duty turbodiesel engines used in heavy duty trucks. Designed and built by Ford Otosan, a subdivision of Ford Motor in Turkey, all engines within the family are in an inline configuration, with an overhead valve or overhead cam design comprised of six cylinders. Displacement ranges between 7.3L, 9.0L and 12.1L. The Ford Ecotorq family of engines has been on the market since 2003.
