The Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center will house production of the all-electric Ford F-150 pickup truck. The facility is part of the historic Rouge Complex in Dearborn, Michigan and is located between the Dearborn Truck Plant‘s body shop and Assembly Building.
The automaker can expand the Electric Vehicle Center’s footprint roughly twofold by repurposing a nearby parking lot.
The Electric Vehicle Center is part of Ford’s $700 million investment in F-150 manufacturing infrastructure and will bring an additional 300 jobs to the area.
