We expect the 2022 Ford EcoSport to continue being available exclusively in one body style – a five-door, five-passenger subcompact crossover.
Powertrain
We expect the 2022 Ford EcoSport to continue being offered with the same two gasoline engine choices mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Like all units of the second-generation Ford EcoSport, the 2022 EcoSport will continue to ride on the Ford global B car platform shared with the following vehicles:

- Ford Fiesta MK VI

Production
The 2022 Ford EcoSport will be assembled by Ford India at the Ford Chennai plant.
Availability
The 2022 Ford EcoSport should begin arriving at dealers during the third quarter of the 2021 calendar year.
Pricing
The 2022 EcoSport starting price is expected to remain similar to the 2021 model, which starts at $19,995.
Beyond 2022
We expect the 2022 model year to become the last of the second-generation Ford EcoSport, and that an all-new model will be introduced by the 2023 model year.
