2023 Ford Escape Changes, Updates, New Features

There are quite a few changes and updates for the 2023 Ford Escape, as it represents a midcycle refresh for the compact crossover.

Model Line

• Addition of three all-new trim levels

  • ST-Line Select
  • ST-Line Elite
• PHEV is now its own trim level
• Base trim now called “S”
• SE trim now called “Active”
• Titanium trim now called “Platinum”

Mechanical

• No changes.

Exterior

• Deletion of hands-free foot-activated liftgate
• Addition of two exterior colors
  • Cinnabar Red Metallic
  • Vapor Blue Metallic
• Deletion of two exterior colors
  • Stone Blue Metallic
  • Iced Blue Silver Metallic
• Addition of LED reflector headlights as standard
  • For 2022 model year, halogen headlights were standard

Interior

• Addition of 8-inch digital instrument panel screen
  • Replaces 4-inch digital instrument panel screen offered for 2022 model year
  • Availability: standard on all Escape trim
• Addition of optional 13.2-inch digital instrument panel screen

• Deletion of MyKey feature
