The 2025 Ford Maverick represents the fourth model year of the compact pickup’s first generation for which it receives a significant midcycle refresh. This includes changes to the design of its cockpit and exterior, changes to its powertrain lineup, the addition of a new trim level, and more.
These changes follow the introduction of the Maverick for the 2022 model year and subsequent minor updates for the 2023 and 2024 model years.

Powertrain
The 2025 Ford Maverick is offered with a choice of two engines, including the 2.5L hybrid I4 engine and the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine. The hybrid engine, which is standard on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, delivers 191 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, and can be paired with front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The 2.0L EcoBoost, meanwhile, is standard on the Lobo and Tremor trims; it’s offered as an upgrade on all other trims. This engine produces 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque and is exclusively offered in conjunction with all-wheel-drive.

The 2025 Ford Maverick is assembled at the the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, where operations began on November 11th, 2024.
