The 2025 Ford Maverick represents the fourth model year of the compact pickup’s first generation for which it receives a significant midcycle refresh. This is the first comprehensive refresh in the Maverick’s history.
Model Line
The 2025 Ford Maverick is offered with front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) across five trim levels, two of which, Tremor and Lobo, are new for 2025. They are as follows:
- XL
- XLT
- Lariat
- Tremor (new for 2025)
- Lobo (new for 2025)
Mechanical
- 2.5L hybrid powertrain now offered with all-wheel-drive (AWD)
- For the 2024 model year, hybrid powertrain was exclusively available with rear-wheel-drive (RWD)
- Paddle shifters now standard on Lobo and Tremor trims
- For the 2024 model year, paddle shifters were unavailable on any trim
- AWD is now standard on Lariat
- For the 2024 model year, RWD was standard on Lariat
- 2.5L hybrid FWD is once again standard
- For the 2024 model year, 2.0L FWD was standard
- 2.0L engine is now exclusively offered with AWD
- For the 2024 model year, 2.0L engine was offered with FWD and AWD
