Powertrain
As with prior model years, the 2025 Ford Mustang can be fitted with either the turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine or naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. The 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine is tuned to produce 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 5.0L Coyote V8 is offered with two output options depending on trim level: GT models produce 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, while the Dark Horse trim coaxes 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque from that same engine.
