Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2025 Ford Mustang gets minor updates and changes. This includes the deletion of four exterior colors, while two brand new colors were added to the lineup. Additionally, the EcoBoost 2.3 High Performance Pack was dropped, while Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control is now standard on EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium trims instead of optional. The 60th Anniversary Package also joined the lineup.

Powertrain

As with prior model years, the 2025 Ford Mustang can be fitted with either the turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine or naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. The 2.3L EcoBoost I4 engine is tuned to produce 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 5.0L Coyote V8 is offered with two output options depending on trim level: GT models produce 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, while the Dark Horse trim coaxes 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque from that same engine.
