The 2025 Ford Mustang represents the second model year of the pony car’s seventh generation for which it only gains minor changes and updates.
These changes follow the 2024 Ford Mustang, which underwent a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign).

The 2025 Ford Mustang is offered in standard rear-wheel-drive (RWD) across the following trim levels and body styles:

- Deletion of four exterior colors:

- Addition of two new exterior colors:
- Addition of Matte Clear Film paint protection for convertible models
- For 2024, this option was not offered on convertibles, but was offered on coupe (fastback) models
- Addition of a new set of wheels measuring 19-by-9.5 inches (front) and 19-by-10 inches (rear) finished in Sinister Bronze painted Aluminum
- Availability: optional on Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium; not available with Dark Horse Handling Package
- The wheels are wrapped in 255/40 (front) and 275/40R19 (rear) Y-summer-rated tires
- For the 2024 model year, these wheels were not available
Interior
- Dual Zone Auto Climate Control is now standard on all trims
- For the 2024 model year, Dual Zone Auto Climate Control was standard on EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium trims, and optional on GT as part of High Package
- Premium Floor Mats are now a standalone option
- For the 2024 model year, Premium Floor Mats were included in a specific package (Premier Trim with Color Accent Group package) for EcoBoost Premium and GT Premium models
- Addition of first row black floor mats with black pony logo
- Availability: optional on EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium
- For the 2024 model year, EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium offered optional first row black floor mats with City Silver pony logo
