The 2025 Ford Ranger represents the second model year of the midsize pickup’s fifth generation, for which it receives minor changes.
These changes follow the introduction of the 2024 Ford Ranger, which was completely overhauled (re-engineered and redesigned), which launched the fifth-gen model in North America, replacing the 2023 Ford Ranger, which was the final model year of the pickup’s fourth generation in North America.

Powertrain
The 2025 Ford Ranger is offered with a choice of three engines, starting with the 2.3L EcoBoost I4, which is standard on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. The more potent 2.7L EcoBoost V6, meanwhile, is available as an upgrade for XLT and Lariat trims, and produces 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the twin-turbocharged 3.0L EcoBoost V6 is exclusive to and standard on the Ranger Raptor, putting out 405 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
