2020 Lincoln Product Forecast
The 2020 model year sees Lincoln replace the MKC with the Corsair and the MKT with the Aviator – both all-new products that are significantly more competitive in their respective spaces than their predecessors. To that end, both the Corsair and Aviator are expected to deliver substantially better commercial/sales performance than the MKC and MKT.
2021 Lincoln Product Forecast
The 2021 model year will bring only minor changes to the future Lincoln model line, with all models seeing model year change-overs, with the exception of the MKZ, which will be discontinued after the 2020 model year.
2022 Lincoln Product Forecast
The 2022 model year will bring some more excitement to the future Lincoln lineup, as the Nautilus is overhauled, with the redesign adding an optional hybrid powertrain to the midsize crossover. Meanwhile, the Navigator flagship will receive a refresh that also adds a hybrid model. On the other side of the spectrum, the Continental is expected to be discontinued after the 2021 model year.
2023 Lincoln Product Forecast
The 2023 model year will bring minor changes via model-year changeovers to the entire future model lineup. Additionally, 2023 was the year that Lincoln and Rivian were expected to bring to market an all-new electric Lincoln crossover SUV. However, that project has been cancelled, and Lincoln will instead develop this vehicle alone.
2024 Lincoln Product Forecast
Things will start to get a bit more exciting for the Lincoln product line for the 2024 model year, as Ford’s luxury arm refreshes the Corsair and Aviator. Meanwhile, two new EVs are expected to arrive – one that’s roughly the size of the Nautilus, and a second that’s about the size of the Aviator. Both models will be developed internally, though the larger one – initially planned to be developed with Rivian – might arrive one model year later. We are tentatively referring to this model as “Lincoln Mark E.”
2025 Lincoln Product Forecast
All existing Lincoln vehicles are expected to see only minor changes via model year changeovers for the 2025 model year.
2026 Lincoln Product Forecast
For the 2026 model year, we expect the Nautilus to get a refresh, which will have been overhauled for the 2022 model year. Meanwhile, the Navigator is expected to receive an overhaul for the 2026 model year, though this could also take place for the 2025 model year.
2027 Lincoln Product Forecast
All Lincoln models are expected to receive minor changes via model year changeovers for the 2027 model year.
2028 Lincoln Product Forecast
An overhaul of the Corsair and Nautilus should take place for the 2028 model year, though this could be pulled ahead by a roughly 18 months in order to remain more competitive in what will likely continue being strong crossover demand. If the D-segment possible that the Lincoln Mark-E, which should have launched for the 2024 model year, will receive a refresh for the 2028 MY.
