I have a similar situation: I purchased a 2013 F150 XL in excellent condition, test drove smooth with plenty of power, smooth shifting and driving, so I purchased the truck ,the carfax stated that a “customer satisfaction program” had been issued from Fotd Motor Company, which led me to believe that the issue had been corrected, especially since the vehicle drove just fine on the test drive. After doing some research I found out about the recall on the software and the extended warranty on the transmission molded lead frame both yo corrected and covered by Ford Motor company. So I took it to my local Ford dealer to have it corrected that was back in July and after the software update my transmission went haywire and I couldn’t drive it, so it’s back at the dealership and they say they cant get parts until January and if I take my truck elsewhere it won’t be covered under the extended warranty?
How can the legally do this?
