I’m finding it difficult locating a social network or community willing to allow for our updates. Being with Instagram for 1 week, I’m not enjoying the flood of unwanted suggestions without the option of being allowed to turn this off. However for that short time, I’ve located at least 6 Transit Connect owners that have installed a set of the Brembo (focus) calipers on their van. Those who have responded back to my question have said it’s obvious these calipers would fit. But to me it wasn’t as easy as one might think. I’ve asked Brembo and other big brake developers like Ceika & R1Conectps if their focus caliper would fit on the Connect and all of them said No they wont. I’ve always suspected that the lager calipers from the Focus would fit the van after seeing the crossover parts list on the Rockauto site. be reminded that if you’re going to make this type of modification to your van, you’ll need to increase the rotors size also. According to Ceika, the max size used for the Brembo calipers is 330. The van starts out with 279mm rotor. We’re not looking to go that large, so a 303mm rotor would be used. if it wasn’t for the fact if I had never seen the images on Instagram, I may never has perused wanting to learn more about what parts fit on the van and what parts don’t.
