We have a 23 Escape Hybrid and the Normal mode is where we have our best success. We are averaging 51.2 MPG in mostly city driving but have some highway runs. We can get the battery to activate until about 70 MPH. We tried eco and snow mode. Both normal and snow do better than eco for us. The hybrid is our city driver and we have an Edge for commuting and a Chevy Traverse for family trips. The MPG above 65 is fairly disappointing so we generally take one of the other two for long 65+ trips. It is frustrating that a vehicle producing its own energy cannot maintain battery power at elevated speeds. I would have thought this issue would have been resolved by now.
