After further investigation and after installing the new EGR valve, we’ve concluded that a catch can is illegal in our state, yet right behind the exhaust manifold there is a air/oil separator which does or is suppose to do the same thing as a catch can. However this air/oil separator is located in the wrong spot based on how engineers designed this engine. it was our hope to have had a catch can installed on the upper most vent hose as this is allowing air/oil run off from the valve cover hose down and into our throttle body. once a month, we’re having to clean the throttle body flapper/butterfly in order for it to be more responsive instead of otherwise getting stuck within the throttle body. other wise, we’re currently at 70K miles and now have a Canister Purge Valve error code.
