Hi I read that these engines share most of the components except the turbo. The compression is a lot higher in the duratec so I am assuming the pistons are different but I’m not a gearhead so I don’t know if there was a way to raise the compression through another way like the new vct?

I am wondering this because I am looking at pros and cons of the 1.0 and 1.5 3 cylinder Ecoboost engines. I am wondering if there would be a way to add a twin turbo setup to a duratec and get a tuner to use figures higher than the formula race car of 200hp/tq

My goal was to find the power to weight similar to the cobra 260 V8 engine in a much lighter 3 cylinder and total car weight of 1500lbs.

I’m still looking at other motors but for and Nissan are clearly available, affordable, and the most powerful for size compared to a 1.6 Toyota GR.

This is a daily driver not for racing, but I know when I am no longer able to drive it, the next person would love it.
