The 2003 and 2004 Mercury Marauder is a large 4 door car with a full frame on body platform. This vehicle is etched in history as the last of the Ford/Mercury large American muscle car sedans. I would like to spark a discussion in this type of vehicle since not many of these were produced. It was/is a Ford Crown Victoria with a DOHC 4.6 liter V-8. Most current car nuts laugh at it size and weight as a whale size police pursuit vehicle. I just put this car here for discussion. Find one and drive it.
The size of the 03/04 Marauder is perfect, nice long wheelbase rides well, handles well and it needs to be brought back, maybe with an upgraded 5..8 or the 427 that goes in trucks now. A plain 312 from the Shelby Mustang would be nice but with a bigger bore, 4 inch for bigger titanium valves and with an option of a Six speed manual. It was perfect the way it was and the full frame inspired confidence.
