For several months, I have been trying to get a correct answer for this question and was hoping to find someone that could provide a knowledgeable and definitive answer since I do not want to start something like this without knowing for certain.
I have a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6L engine that I would like to swap out with my wife’s 2003 Lincoln town car 4.6L engine since she decided to drive with the low pressure oil light illuminated and needless to say, the engine was ruined. Every shop or mechanic I have contacted that had responded; every single one has given me conflicting answers so I do not know if this is a should attempt this or not. Listed below may be useful info and I would very much appreciate if someone is knowledgeable about this and can provide the correct answer. Thank you.
